Appendix B - SOFTWARE LIMITATIONS 1(1) Product involved: AXIS ThinWizard Software version: 1.11 -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. When running the ThinWizard server on Windows 95, Windows 98 or Unix platforms, currently no support for AXIS PrintPoint 140 BJC, AXIS 150/152 and all AXIS camera servers is implemented. 2. Internet Explorer 3 and Netscape Navigator 3 do not support all HTML and JavaScript used by ThinWizard. For full functionality, please upgrade your browser. 3. When you start ThinWizard's Firmware Wizard, some versions of Internet Explorer may give this behavior: You may be prompted for a new login, or you may get information about that your browser doesn't accept cookies. If this is the case, open Internet Options in the Tools menu and select the Advanced tab. Make sure that "Browse in new process" is not checked. 4. When running the ThinWizard server on NetWare 4.x, the AXIS Online CD cannot be used as source for firmware upgrades. 5. If you are using the Microsoft NetWare Client and Windows 98, you may experience a system crash when browsing for a destination folder during installation. This problem is due to a bug in Windows. For more information go to: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q192/2/49.asp Solution: Accept the suggested folder, or manually write the destination folder of your choice. 6. If you are using JavaSoft's HotSpot Performance Engine 1.0_fcs or erlier, you may experience problems with the network search part of ThinWizard. ThinWizard might not be able to find all your units. To disable HotSpot, edit the command file ThinWizard.bat, located in your ThinWizard installation directory. Add -classic after the java command. 7. This version of ThinWizard is not compatible with old versions of the Data File used by ThinWizard to get up-to-date information about available firmware files. Therefore, the AXIS Online CD version 5.3 or earlier should not be used together with this version of ThinWizard. 8. It may not be possible to install on a NetWare 5 server if you run the installation program from the server console. The installation program may finish with an exception. If this happens you should run the installation program from a computer running Microsoft Windows or NT. This computer must have a mapping to the SYS directory of the NetWare server. When the installation program asks for a destination directory, enter a directory on the NetWare server. To start the installation program, open a DOS Command Window and type java TWSetup_nw
