setiathome is the UNIX version of the SETI@home client. It downloads radio telescope data from a network server, analyzes the data looking for signals of extraterrestrial origin, and uploads results to the server, repeating this cycle indefinitely. See http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ for more information.PACKAGING NOTICE
This setiathome package is a binary distribution only. The package is structured to allow a binary drop-in upgrade. Please see the main seti page for binary updates, as older binaries will be refused at the server, and will not do any processing.SECURITY NOTICE
This setiathome package installs everything under /usr/seti as the user guest and may be a security hole for your site.SETUP & CONFIGURATION
For seti user setup, run /usr/seti/setup. For other runtime options, see /etc/config/seti.options
